After a great few days in Hood River it was time to keep moving west. The plan was to make a quick stop in Portland but that escalated quickly into a mandatory over night stop. Back on the road the following day I went south to ride Black Rock, OR. With a two fun laps under my belt I kept heading towards the coast, Pacific City.

Once I broke down camp in Pacific City it was tourist time. I had a full day of activities planned as I headed up the coast. First stop was the Tillamook Cheese factory for breakfast ice cream and coffee. From there it was a Goonies tour: Cannon Beach and Astoria. Campground for the night – Cape of Disappointment State Park.

Very happy to have visited the Oregon Coast for the first time. I was constantly passing bike-packers on the 101 and have already started toying with the idea of making the trip myself. But now, off to Seattle.
